before i post anything on thrice, which i’ll admit i haven’t finished,
this is a skylit drive’s factory fresh video for “the cali buds”, which i first heard on the peter says denim sampler packed with punk goes pop 4. these guys are a shining reminder for why multiple vocalists with multiple styles makes for a much richer, more complex listening experience. honestly the only downside of the song in my mind is how lame the song title is, but you can’t win ‘em all.
i’m excited to see where these guys go. their version of eminem/rihanna’s ‘love the way you lie’ DOMINATES punk goes pop 4 with a mature, original take that channels eminem’s raw anger in an exceptionally accurate manner. link below. pick up their latest, ‘identity on fire’ on amazon for $9.99.
