but it’s cool to see craig owens rejoin chiodos. i love brandon-era chiodos, but i know that craig-era chiodos is where the magic all started. it sounds like DRUGS isn’t breaking up, craig will just be the frontman for two big name bands instead of one. haha.

i freaking love the devil wears prada… this is common knowledge. i’ve previously avoided the Zombie EP because i’d heard it was less melodic and more straight metal/metalcore. it’s also the least christian of the TDWP’s back catalog, and i know they wanted to just make a fun zombie CD. i’ve heard snippets, but today i finally sat down and really listened.

it’s actually a surprisingly fun EP. imagining an outrageous zombie apocalypse is one of the things our generation is actually BEST at.

all of these songs are going in the list of “best songs for an actual zombie apocalypse”. the top of that list, however, still goes to the brandon bolmer-headed chiodos track, Those Who Slay Together Stay Together. that is a freaking killer [literally] song. video for that here:

imagine listening to these songs while playing zombie run. imagine……

THERE IS NO WORD ON WHETHER D.R.U.G.S. is over or not, and i think i read somewhere that craig wasn’t planning on calling it a day with them. there’s a vacancy at the helm of chiodos, and if anyone deserves it, it’s craig.

are you freaking kidding me. don’t get me wrong, i LOVE what he’s been doing with DRUGS [destroy rebuild until God shows, that is, not actual drugs. or maybe. i’m not one to judge.], but craig owens on home turf again now that brandon bolmer is out to pursue other things.

don’t get me wrong on this either, chiodos with brandon bolmer at the helm released one of the all-out STRONGEST post-hardcore albums i’ve ever heard. but craig is an entirely different beast. this is gonna be FREAKING SICK.
